Transformation

I have been waiting so long to share this post. This is one of my favorite projects we have worked on so far. For a few reasons…first, we absolutely love the homeowners and their furr babies, and second, because the house is such a transformation and absolute perfection.

Check out these before pictures of this 1950s style house.

First, we had to remove a wall to open up the space!! This was a much easier process than normal because it was a one story house and the wall was not load bearing. Thank goodness!!! We also had to build out the entry to make it a little more fitting for the new kitchen design.

Then, we removed all the popcorn ceilings to provide a flat finish throughout. Completed the drywall and added some decorative accent walls to create two feature walls.

Electrical fixtures were updated throughout to give it a fresh look and craftsman style feel.

My absolute favorite part of this remodel is the kitchen. We updated the cabinets to a two-toned wood finish on bottom with a classic white on top. Then we integrated some textured glass for decoration around the sink. I think this is my favorite style of glass. It has so much texture instead of a traditional clear. These cabinets Kraftmaid and are beautiful and fit the space with form and function.

Next, we added Pergo flooring throughout the kitchen, living room, hallway and down the stairs to the basement. Chris out did himself on the stairs!!

Then, we updated the windows in the living room, kitchen and dining room with energy efficient Anderson windows. And added a gorgeous front door with frosted glass. This door I’m told is the envy of the neighborhood.

And last but certainly not least, we added craftsman style base and trim throughout the house.

This house has come so far…it’s unbelievable. We are so happy to have been part of this transformation and love that we got to share in the lives of our friends. We are also happy to have shared our lunch multiple times with our furry friends!!!
